The student:
can describe a biblical-theological topic regarding the God of the Old and New Testament (e.g., God and violence, God’s love and hell), based on literature (LOQ 1 / MTP ET 2);
can independently evaluate a biblical-theological theme related to the God of the Old and New Testament in the light of relevant biblical data (LOQ 2,3 / MTP ET 3,4).
Examination and discussion of aspects in Old and New Testament images of God that are perceived as problematic in late modern Western culture. This ties in with the current programme (2024-2029) of the BEST (Biblical Exegesis and Systematic Theology) research group, ‘Crucial Commitment’. For this reason, a lecturer in Systematic Theology is also invited to contribute to one of the discussions.

Essay (5000-10.000 words) concerning a particular biblical-theological topic regarding the God of the Old and New Testament.
